Is this an official ETA or ITIDA product?
No. ETA Signer is independent and not made, endorsed or supported by the Egyptian Tax Authority, ITIDA, Egypt Trust or any token maker. Names are used only to describe compatibility.
Do I still need Windows or Parallels?
No, not for signing.
Does it work offline?
The portal itself needs the internet. Paid licences check in with our server about every few weeks while you sign; free signatures are counted online.
What does it send to your server?
Free signatures (to count them: certificate + document fingerprint, not the document), licence renewals, and a daily version check. Never invoices, PINs or keys.
Which tokens?
Egypt Trust certificates on USB tokens such as Feitian ePass2003.
Can I move my licence to another Mac?
The licence is tied to your tax registration number, not the Mac.

How many documents can I sign at once?
Up to 10 documents in one batch, with one PIN entry.
Which Macs does it run on?
macOS 13 Ventura or later, on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
Which browsers work?
Any browser on your Mac that opens the e-invoicing portal.
What do I do the first time?
Open the DMG, drag ETA Signer into Applications and open it. The first time, macOS asks for your password once, to trust ETA Signer’s connection on your Mac.
Licences
How long does a licence last?
It never expires and covers every 1.x version. A later major version (2.0 or higher) may be a paid upgrade, at a discount for licence holders.
Do I need to be online to keep my licence?
At least once every 60 days. While you sign, the app confirms the licence with our server and gets a confirmation valid for 60 days.
What happens if ETA Signer’s licence service ever shuts down?
We will make reasonable efforts to publish a final version that lets existing paid licences keep working without online confirmation.
Privacy
Where is my data stored?
Our server runs on Cloudflare infrastructure, which may store data outside Egypt. To see or delete what we hold about you, email us.
Does the app collect analytics?
No. The app has no analytics and no telemetry.
